This event is definitely not for the faint of heart. Located in Punta Gorda, Florida, Redneck Yacht Club Mudpark offers three day mudding events throughout the year. The park offers primitive camping, food vendors, porta potties, and a truck to shower for a fee.
RYC offers many atv and side-by-side trails, airboat races, truck pulls, atv races, a giant mudhole, and many other featured events. Plus, there is some of the best people watching you will find!
However, word of caution. This event can get rowdy. There is a significant amount of people who come just to party. RYC makes it totally possible to have a tamer experience, but it will not always be 100% kid friendly. They offer a family camping area which has noise restrictions and is away from the heavy partying areas. Also, avoid the concert and “the loop” at night. This is where a lot of the heavy partying occurs. (AKA there is a lot of drinking and Mardi Gras like activities that happen).
Also, with events like these there are idiots. But most people are very friendly and there to ride the trails, see big trucks, and get muddy!
